GEVA Highlights Sustainable Vietnamese Agricultural Products at Vietnam International Sourcing Expo 2025
From September 4 to 6, 2025, the Green Export Incubation and Acceleration (GEVA) project showcased sustainable agricultural products at the Vietnam International Sourcing Expo. This initiative aimed to promote Vietnam’s commitment to environmentally responsible trade and expand its global green market presence.
Showcasing Sustainable Agriculture and Building Global Partnerships
GEVA featured 17 Vietnamese enterprises specializing in spices, nuts, coffee, and value-added processed goods. With an eco-friendly booth design reflecting local identity, the display emphasized products adhering to Voluntary Sustainability Standards (VSS) that prioritize transparency, environmental responsibility, and sustainable production.
Key achievements included:
- Seven focused one-on-one business-to-business (B2B) meetings with international buyers from distribution, manufacturing, retail, and hospitality sectors.
- Initiation of contacts with nearly 70 potential international partners for future collaboration.
- Distribution of Vietnamese company profiles to global buyers post-event to facilitate ongoing trade opportunities.
GEVA’s Role in Advancing Sustainable Export Growth
Developed by KisStartup under the SwissTrade Programme and supported by the Swiss government, the International Trade Centre, and Vietrade, GEVA assists Vietnamese small- and medium-sized agricultural enterprises in meeting stringent international sustainability requirements. The project offers advisory services, training, and export market access support.
Nguyen Dang Tuan Minh, Founder of KisStartup, emphasized the increasing necessity for Vietnamese exporters to align with sustainability standards to penetrate high-value markets and meet large buyers’ demands.
Strengthening Vietnam’s Position in Green Global Trade
GEVA’s presence at the expo marked a significant step in enhancing Vietnam’s reputation as a reliable source of high-quality, sustainable agricultural products. The project’s long-term vision includes nurturing partnerships, supporting enterprise competitiveness, and expanding Vietnam’s footprint in demanding global markets.
By aligning local agricultural strengths — particularly in the Mekong Delta and Central Highlands regions — with voluntary sustainability frameworks, GEVA promotes a greener, more resilient export sector that meets evolving global consumer and regulatory demands.
