Haleon’s Commitment to Sustainable Packaging and Decarbonised Healthcare Supply Chain
Haleon leads global health. It makes Sensodyne, Centrum, and Panadol. Sustainability sits at its core. It serves over a billion people. Haleon pushes better health and green goals at the same time.
Sustainability Recognition and Leadership
Haleon ranks 34 in Sustainability Magazine’s Top 250 Sustainability Companies for 2025. This rank shows fast, clear progress. Chris Low—leader of Sustainability, Procurement, and Packaging—points to strong teamwork and close links with partners and suppliers.
Dual-Pillar Sustainability Strategy
Haleon builds its plan on two solid points.
• Health Inclusivity makes daily health products reach more people.
• Environmental Impact works to cut harmful waste and lower carbon output.
Ambitious Climate Targets
• Haleon will hit net zero carbon across its value chain by 2040.
• By 2030, it will cut net Scope 1 and 2 emissions fully compared to its 2020 levels. It has already cut 50% by 2024.
• It will lower Scope 3 emissions by 42% by 2030 versus 2022.
• It funds a Virtual Power Purchase Agreement to boost solar energy in Europe.
Decarbonising Operations and Supply Chain
Haleon shifts to clean heat and cleaner fuels. It uses more renewable power on site or through green deals. It works with suppliers to add renewable energy. It also redesigns products to cut high-carbon raw materials and reduce waste in packaging.
Advancing Recycle-Ready Packaging
Haleon aims to use less virgin, petroleum-based plastic.
• It will reduce virgin plastic by 10% by 2025.
• By 2030, it plans a one-third reduction from 2022 levels.
Its packaging work is clear and smart. The designs become compact and efficient. Virgin plastic gives way to recycled plastic and bio-resins. All packaging will be recycle-ready by 2025 and fully recyclable or reusable by 2030. The company phases out tough materials like PVC, preferring mono-material options that fit current recycling systems. About half of its packaging is paper. This paper will come from recycled or sustainable sources to back a deforestation-free chain by 2030. ## CEO’s Vision
Brian McNamara, CEO of Haleon, sees the firm as a breaker of social and green walls for better health. His vision builds on Haleon’s global reach and expertise. The company helps people thrive while caring for the planet.
