Project Overview and Goals
TUI Colourful Cultures Lisbon works with Admirável Reino – Associação (Escola do Largo). The project trains 115 young adults. Their ages run from 18 to 38. It supports those with tight budgets first. The project gives full training in sustainable product design. It honors Portuguese traditions. The training has twelve modules. They cover:

- Circular economy
- Fashion and product design
- Natural fabric dyeing

Creating a Hub for Sustainable Creativity
In Lisbon’s old Chiado district, the project sets up a creative hub. Here, emerging designers work with traditional methods. They build modern, eco-friendly tourism products. Designers show their work in monthly public exhibitions. These events link local artisans with tourism businesses.
Participants take study visits. They see sustainable hotels and talk with suppliers. They attend design events. They gain clear insights into the industry. This work helps the local economy shift to sustainable growth.
Impact on Lisbon’s Tourism and Culture
The project offers free tuition for 60 participants. It holds 22 events. These events include exhibitions and learning trips. The project gives designers direct market access. It urges practices that protect the environment. TUI Colourful Cultures Lisbon aims to provide high-quality, local souvenirs. It stands against mass-produced items.
