Product Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) and the EU Ecodesign Regulation for Sustainable Products – Key Insights from KPMG Webinar

• Product Carbon Footprint Calculation: They offered practical ways to measure a product’s carbon output.
• Digital Product Passport: This tool is key for clear tracking in green supply chains.
• Regulatory Relevance: The rules now affect both EU companies and those from other regions. Local firms must also meet stronger green tests.

Industry Implications and Future Outlook

This webinar ended the first set of KPMG ESG web seminars. The speakers stressed that firms must use life cycle ideas and follow strict rules. As the EU makes the rules firmer, using LCA and ecodesign ideas is a must. This helps companies build products that are fair, smart, and green.
